Tofu Satay Recipe with Peanut Sauce
Ingredients
3 Boxes of White Tofu
Skewers
Peanut Sauce
4 tablespoons peanuts
2 garlic
2 candlenuts
1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
To taste salt
To taste seasoning
1/2 piece of brown sugar
200-250 ml water / adjust the thickness to taste
Soaking Seasoning
4 tablespoons peanut sauce
2-3 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
Complements
2 shallots, roughly chopped
2 cayenne peppers, roughly chopped (optional)
To taste sweet soy sauce
How to Make
Fry the peanuts until brown. After the peanuts are almost cooked, add the garlic and candlenuts.
Cut the white tofu into cubes. Fry until half cooked so that it doesn't fall apart easily / without frying. Back to taste.
Puree the fried ingredients. (Smooth seasoning)
Peanut sauce; boil 150ml of water. Add the brown sugar until dissolved. Add the ground spices, salt, flavoring, soy sauce.
Cook until thick (keep stirring so it doesn't burn) Adjust the taste. Thickness to taste. Set aside.
Marinade: Mix 4 tablespoons of cooked peanut sauce with soy sauce. Soak the fried tofu for 15-30 minutes (longer is better)
Skewer the tofu with a skewer. Grill over coals/Teflon. Don't forget to turn it over.
Serve with peanut sauce, shallots, chilies.
