Jakarta - PSS Sleman team doctor dr. Lutfi Afifuddin revealed Betinho's condition after suffering an injury during the warm-up session before the match against Persita Tangerang, Sunday (27/10).

Quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday, Lutfi said Betinho suffered a strain injury in his gastrocnemius muscle so that the player was not fielded by coach Mazola Junior.

"Yesterday he felt a pull in his calf muscle during the warm-up. So far, we suspect he has a strain in his gastrocnemius muscle," said Lutfi.

Ahead of the PSS Sleman versus Persita Tangerang match, it was discovered that Betinho suffered an injury during the warm-up before the match so that the composition of the players was changed by the coach.

Furthermore, the PSS medical team immediately took anticipatory steps by conducting an examination at the hospital to prevent the injury from getting worse.

"Currently, we have planned for him to undergo an Ultrasonography (USG) examination today. We are doing this to see how serious the injury is," explained Lutfi.

"While waiting for the schedule to do an ultrasound, we are currently resting Betinho. We are also providing support for his recovery by giving him painkillers and muscle relaxants," he concluded.

The 32-year-old player has played seven matches with PSS Sleman and has played 461 minutes in the Indonesian League 1 competition.

The Brazilian player was absent twice in the Indonesian League 1 competition this season when the first week was against Persebaya Surabaya and the ninth week was against Persita Tangerang.
