This is the figure of the Underground City of Nushabad, Iran.

Kota Bawah Tanah Nushabad, Iran.

Nushabad (N ūshābād), juga dikenal sebagai kota Ouyi, kota Bawah Tanah Oeei, Kota Bawah Tanah Noush-abaad, Ouee, kota Bawah Tanah Huy, terletak 5 km sebelah utara Kashan di provinsi Isfahan, di wilayah gurun tengah Iran.

The reason why this city is called Noushabad (meaning 'city of delicious cold water') is because in ancient times, one of the Sassanian kings who passed through this area stopped here to drink water from a well and he found this water very clear and cold.

Therefore he ordered the construction of a city around this well and named it Anoushabad, which eventually changed to Noushabad.

The city emerged in the Sassanid era (between 324 and 651) and continued to expand horizontally and vertically during the Seljuk, Safavid and even Qajar eras. In times of danger, people would access these underground shelters through wells dug in their homes, but access was not easy.
The labyrinthine structure of the city was intended to make access to the city difficult and to give its citizens complete control over potential intruders.
In some sections the tunnels were only large enough for one person. When traveling inside, citizens would need to travel in a single file line. The first person in line would light torches mounted on the walls, while the last person in line would extinguish each torch in turn, thus confusing the enemy.
Furthermore, because of the U-shaped nature of the tunnels across the different levels, an attacking army would be forced to charge uphill towards the end of each tunnel.

The city lies between 3 and 18 meters (10 and 60 feet) deep. The labyrinthine network consists of three floors of tunnels, chambers, air ducts, staircases, canals, and traps.

It is considered an ancient architectural and engineering marvel. The ascent and descent passages allow free air flow throughout the structure.
